5 glorious series ending stars Leo James has officially ruined me. My god, I loved a brooding, dark, saucy, smexy man. This series has owned me each and every single installment. Leo James is THE reason you should add this book to your TBR, but in case you need more convincing I’ll tell you this: Broken Course is also gritty, laced with baggage, hot, dirty, and totally hilarious. All kinds of win, my friends.

So I started this book having read the others in the series, including Among the Echoes where I met Leo. (yes, each book is a 5 star). I opened this story and getting back together with these characters was like reuniting with old friends. I slid into this world so easily and it felt so good. Now, you should know what a genius Ms. Martinez is because I hated Sarah Kate Erickson when I read about her before. We’re not talking a little bit of dislike, we are talking serious loathing. Very serious. Aaaaaaand now I love her. What the heck? It’s true, my tune has totally changed. For an author to do that is quite a feat and should tell you how amazing these stories are, this one included.
So without giving much away Sarah and Leo have sparks from the second they met on that sidewalk. I felt it, they felt it, and the pages were sizzling. Leo is a demanding dirty man and I loved every filthy word he spoke.
For example, when Sarah said :
“I feel like I’m missing something”
…his response might have made me blush and gasp, and reread that whole section. And tweet about. Basically, the smexy in this book is made of all kinds of awesome and never ever, ever, ever gets old.
So once these two work out their demons and secrets and seem to be on a steady course, naturally there are more demons and secrets that surface, but because these two love each other so truly and perfectly they get through it all and come out on the other side absolutely fuller, happier, loved.
Would I rec this? A million bajillion times YES. This entire series plus Among the Echoes are top notch and have great story lines along with romances, humor, and plenty of steam!
